The Program:

The Universidad de Vina del Mar (UVM) is a private university that is accredited by the Chilean Ministry of Education. It has always been a pioneer by creating new fields of study in Chile, such as Environmental Engineering and Natural Resources. UVM also has the first accredited Arquitecture program in Chile.

UVM employs an innovative and flexible educational model: Significant Competency Model. The basis is that learning is a continual process and the students are responsible for developing their own knowledge. In UVM the students are not mere receptors of information but active participants by developing their own opinions about that which they are learning. In this way the students discover the reason for their studies and enjoy them concretely and effectively.
